Customize Your Social Icons

Social icons make it easy for visitors to connect with you on your favorite platforms. This tutorial will show you how to add your social links, customize your icons, and update their appearance throughout your website.

Add Your Social Links

Step 1: From your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance → Customize → General → Social Links.

Step 2: Enter the full URL for each social media profile you’d like to display, including https://.

Helpful Tip: Adding your social links makes them available throughout your website, but it doesn’t automatically add new icons to your header or footer.

Add Social Icons to Your Header or Footer

If your theme includes social icons in the header or footer, you can easily add or remove platforms.

Step 1: Go to Appearance → Customize.

Step 2: In the live preview, hover over the social icons and click the blue pencil icon.

Step 3: Click Add Social + to add another platform, or remove any icons you don’t need.

Change the Icon Size

You can adjust the size of your social icons at any time.

Header Icons

• Go to Appearance → Customize → Header → Social → Design.
• Adjust the Icon Size setting.

Footer Icons

• Go to Appearance → Customize → Footer → Social → Design.
• Adjust the Icon Size setting.

Social Icons Block

Some themes include a Social Icons block in the sidebar, pages, or posts. These blocks are managed separately from the header and footer social icons.

Step 1: Go to Appearance → Widgets → Sidebar 1, or open the page or post that contains the Social Icons block.

Step 2: Select the Social Icons block.

Step 3: Click each icon to add or update your social media links.

Step 4: Use the settings panel on the right to customize the icon size, colors, spacing, and other display options.

Helpful Tip: Each Social Icons block is managed independently. Changes made to one block won’t update the social icons in your header, footer, or other areas of your website. You’ll need to customize each one individually.
