Adjust Your Content & Sidebar Width
Kadence allows you to customize the width of your website’s content area and sidebar, making it easy to create a layout that best fits your website.
Change the Overall Content Width
The content width controls how wide your pages and posts appear across your website.
Step 1: Go to Appearance → Customize.
Step 2: Navigate to General → Layout.
Step 3: Under Content Max Width, enter your desired width in pixels.
For most websites, a width between 1100px and 1400px provides a clean, balanced layout.
Change the Sidebar Width
If you’re using a sidebar, you can adjust how much space it occupies.
Step 1: Go to Appearance → Customize.
Step 2: Navigate to General → Sidebar.
Step 3: Under Sidebar Width, adjust the percentage to your preferred size.
If you’d rather use a fixed width, click the % icon and switch the measurement to px.

While you can customize these settings, we recommend making small adjustments and previewing your website on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices to ensure everything remains balanced and easy to read.
