Edit the Homepage
Every Hello You theme is built using the WordPress Block Editor. Your homepage is simply a normal WordPress page made up of individual content sections (called blocks), making it easy to edit, rearrange, or replace any section.
Most customers find it easiest to work from the top of the page down, replacing the demo content one section at a time.
STEP 1 – Open the Homepage
From your WordPress Dashboard, go to:
Pages → Home
(If your homepage has been renamed, open the page that is currently assigned as your homepage.)
STEP 2 – Edit Any Section
Simply click on the text, image, button, or block you’d like to edit.
The settings for that block will appear in the editor on the right where you can customize items such as:
- Text
- Images
- Colors
- Buttons
- Spacing
- Backgrounds
- Links
STEP 3 – Add, Remove or Rearrange Sections
Every section on the homepage is a block or group of blocks.
You can:
- Duplicate sections
- Delete sections
- Drag sections to a new location
- Insert new sections from the Block Library
This makes it easy to completely customize the layout without affecting the rest of your website.
STEP 4 – Save Your Changes
When you’re happy with your edits, click Update in the top-right corner.
View your homepage on the front end to review your changes.
Quick Tips
Replace Demo Content One Section at a Time
Don’t feel like you need to finish your homepage all at once. Most customers find it easiest to replace one section each time they work on their website.
Keep the Existing Layout
If you like the overall design, simply replace the demo text and images with your own. There’s no need to rebuild the page from scratch.

Open the Block Library to browse additional pre-designed layouts that can be inserted anywhere on your homepage.
New to WordPress?
Almost everything on your homepage can be edited by simply clicking on it. Don’t worry about breaking anything—if you make a mistake, you can always undo your last change or restore a previous revision.
