Flodesk Forms

Every email marketing provider creates forms a little differently. While we officially use and recommend Flodesk, the general process is similar across most email platforms.

If you’re using another provider, please refer to their documentation for creating and embedding forms. We recommend using the HTML embed code whenever it’s available, rather than JavaScript.

Using Flodesk

If you’re using Flodesk, follow these steps to generate your form’s HTML embed code.

Create Your Form

If you haven’t already, create your form in Flodesk and customize it to match your website.

When your form is ready:

Get the HTML Embed Code

Step 1: Go to Forms in Flodesk.

Step 2: Click the three dots in the upper-right corner of the form you’d like to use.

Step 3: Select Embed.

Step 4: Scroll to the bottom and choose:

Advanced Options → Get Raw HTML Code

Step 5: Click Continue.

Step 6: Copy the entire HTML code provided.

Add the Form to Your Website

Paste the HTML code into the designated HTML block within your Hello You Designs page.

Important: Use the Raw HTML code, not the JavaScript embed code. HTML embeds are much easier to style and will more closely match the theme demo.

Match the Demo Styling

If you’d like your form to match the styling shown in the demo, create your Flodesk form using similar settings for:

• Number of fields
• Button text
• Layout (inline or stacked)
• Colors
• Spacing

The closer your form is to the demo before embedding it, the less styling will be required afterward.
