Set Your Home & Blog Page
Learn how to choose your homepage and understand the difference between the default Blog page and your theme’s Custom Blog page.
Step 1 – Go to Settings → Reading
Step 2 – Select a static page
At the top of the page, under Your homepage displays, select A static page.
Step 3 – Choose your homepage
In the Homepage dropdown, choose the homepage you’d like to use for your website.
Step 4 – Choose Blog for Posts Page
In the Posts page dropdown, select Blog.
Important: Don’t select your Custom Blog page as your Posts page in WordPress. Doing so will replace your custom layout with WordPress’s default blog archive.
Understanding your Blog Pages
Your theme includes two different blog pages, and each one has a different purpose.
Custom Blog
This is a fully editable page created with the block editor. You can customize the layout, add featured sections, and create a unique experience for your readers. It’s often named Journal, The Blog, or something similar.
Blog
This is WordPress’s default blog archive. It automatically displays your latest blog posts and is the page you should select as your Posts page in Settings → Reading.
