Instagram Feed Isn’t Displaying
If your Instagram feed suddenly stops displaying, the most common cause is that your Instagram account needs to be reconnected. This can happen if your authorization expires, your Instagram or Facebook password changes, or Meta updates your account permissions.
In most cases, reconnecting your account will resolve the issue in just a few minutes.
Solution 1: Reconnect Your Account
Step 1: In your WordPress dashboard, go to Instagram Feed → Settings.
Step 2: Under Manage Sources, click Reconnect.
Step 3: Follow the Smash Balloon prompts to reconnect your Instagram account.
Once complete, refresh your website to see if the feed has returned.
Solution 2: Remove & Add the Source Again
If reconnecting doesn’t solve the problem:
Step 1: Go to Instagram Feed → Settings → Manage Sources.
Step 2: Delete the existing connected source.
Step 3: Click Add Source.
Step 4: Follow the Smash Balloon setup process to reconnect your Instagram account.
This resolves most authorization issues.
Still Not Working?
This issue is related to the Smash Balloon plugin, not your Hello You Designs theme.

Helpful tip:
If you recently changed your Instagram, Facebook, or Meta account password, you’ll usually need to reconnect your account before your feed will begin displaying again.
