Replace the Demo images

Replacing the images throughout your Hello You Designs theme is quick and easy. Most images can be changed directly from the editor, while some sections use background images that are edited slightly differently.

Replace a Regular Image

For most images on your website:

Step 1: Click directly on the image.

Step 2: Select Replace or choose a new image from your Media Library.

Step 3: Save or Update your page.

Replace a Background Image

Some sections use a background image instead of a standard image block.

Step 1: Select the entire block or row that contains the background image. (Be sure you’re selecting the main block—not one of the blocks inside it.)

Step 2: Open the Styles tab in the right sidebar.

Step 3: Under Background, replace the existing image with your own.

You can also adjust background settings here, including overlays, positioning, and other styling options.

Using a Different Image on Mobile

Background images automatically adjust for smaller screens, so they won’t always display exactly as they do on desktop.

If your desktop image doesn’t crop well on mobile, you can upload a separate image specifically for mobile devices.

Step 1: Select the block containing the background image.

Step 2: Switch to the Mobile device preview in the editor.

Step 3: Replace the background image with a mobile-specific version.

Your desktop visitors will continue to see the desktop image, while mobile visitors will automatically see the mobile version.

Helpful tip:

Choose background images that have plenty of open space around the subject whenever possible. Since background images are cropped differently across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, images with extra breathing room usually produce the best results on every screen size.
